Questions

Common questions

What room size do I need for a home golf simulator?

As a starting point, allow about 3m of internal ceiling height, 3.2m of width and 4.3m of depth for a compact bay with an offset tee. A comfortable dedicated bay is closer to 4m wide and 5m deep, which suits right and left-handed golfers. We check your height, club length and swing plane at survey before anything is designed or ordered.

How long does a golf simulator installation take?

A conversion of an existing room is usually measured in weeks rather than months once the design is agreed. A purpose-built garden studio typically takes six to ten weeks on site, and longer for bespoke builds that need planning permission. Because design, construction, electrical and AV are all handled in house, there is one programme and one point of contact throughout.

Which launch monitor is best — Trackman, Foresight or Uneekor?

It depends on your room and how you play. Ceiling-mounted units such as Trackman iO and Uneekor EYE XO2 suit dedicated bays and both-handed play, while portable units like Trackman 4 and Foresight GCQuad suit more flexible spaces. As a Trackman authorised dealer we install and calibrate the full range, and we will recommend the right option at survey.

Can you install a golf simulator in a garage?

Yes. Garages, barns, basements and spare rooms are all suitable, subject to a height and structure check at survey. Where ceiling height is tight we can look at sunken floors or roof alterations. We handle the conversion, insulation, electrics, AV and finishing as one project, so the space performs as well as a purpose-built room.

Do you install golf simulators anywhere in the UK?

Yes. Ample designs and installs golf simulators UK wide, with the whole project handled in house from survey and design through to build, AV, electrical and finishing. Surveys can be carried out remotely or on site, and our own team travels to you for the installation. Tell us where you are and what you have in mind.

What is included in a full golf simulator setup?

A full setup covers the impact screen and padded enclosure, launch monitor, projector, simulator PC and software, hitting mat and turf, plus the room itself: lighting, audio, climate control, networking and finishes. We design everything as one installation, so cabling is concealed, equipment is positioned correctly and the room is calibrated and tested before handover.

Do you offer finance on golf simulator installations?

We do not offer finance packages directly. Most clients fund their room in staged payments linked to the build programme, which we agree with you before work begins. We can also quote and invoice to your company where that suits you — speak to your accountant about the right structure, as we do not give tax advice.
